The online diamond and jewelry retailer Shenoa & Co. has announced that it is exploring the Arctic for diamonds and other gems with Ryan Mining, an offshore mining company.
According to a US geological survey, there may be significant quantities of mineral sources in the Arctic. Various countries are reportedly tussling about rights to various areas of the Arctic.
Shenoa's COO Scott Cowan stated, "We're not waiting for others to bring diamonds to us. We're going straight to the source."
